Vitae is a minimalist mobile application that provides binaural beats for relaxation, focus, sleep, and creativity. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle data when you use the App.

Data Collection

Vitae does not collect, store, or share any personal information.

• No account is required to use the App.
• No personal details (name, email, age, etc.) are requested.
• No sensitive information (health, contacts, photos, or precise location) is accessed by the App.
• All playback settings and custom presets are stored locally on your device.
• Your usage statistics (streaks, session history) remain on your device and are never transmitted.

Audio Usage

The App only plays local audio files (binaural beats and ambient sounds) on your device.

• No audio is recorded, uploaded, or transmitted.
• The App does not access your microphone.
• All audio processing happens locally on your device.

In-App Purchases

Vitae offers optional premium features through one-time in-app purchases processed by Apple's App Store.

• Apple handles all payment processing. We do not see or store your payment information.
• Purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat, which only stores anonymized purchase receipts.
• No personal information is collected during the purchase process.

Analytics & Third-Party Services

Vitae does not use:

• Analytics tools
• Advertising networks
• Trackers or cookies
• Social media SDKs

We do not track you across other apps or websites. Your activity in Vitae stays in Vitae.

Permissions

Vitae requires minimal permissions, only those necessary for audio playback:

• Audio playback permission (to allow sound to play in the background and when screen is locked)
• Notifications (optional, only if you enable guided session alerts)

No permissions are used to collect personal information.

Data Storage

All data generated by the App is stored locally on your device:

• Custom presets you create
• Session history and statistics
• Daily streak counters
• App preferences and settings

This data is never uploaded to external servers. If you delete the App, all local data is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Vitae is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Because the App does not collect any personal information, it is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically (for example, if new features are added). Any changes will be reflected in the latest version on this page and in the App Store listing. The "Effective date" at the top will be updated accordingly.

Your Rights

Because Vitae does not collect personal data, there is no data to request, access, modify, or delete from our servers. All your data remains on your device under your control.
